NJ (NYD) Type backstop is a contact-type anti-reverse device suitable for low-speed shafts.
Compared with ordinary backstops (roller backstops, ratchets, brakes), it features lighter weight, compact structure, reliable force transmission, easy disengagement, convenient installation and low requirements for installation accuracy under the same backstop torque.
Its overall mechanical properties are significantly superior to other ordinary backstop devices.
It is the preferred safety protection device for hoisting and conveying equipment, and is generally suitable for belt conveyors, bucket elevators, scraper conveyors and other equipment requiring anti-reverse function.
In the NJ (NYD) type backstop, several profiled blocks are arranged regularly between the inner rings.
When the inner ring rotates in the forward direction, the profiled blocks make light contact with the inner and outer rings.
When the inner ring rotates reversely, the profiled blocks wedge the inner and outer rings tightly under the action of spring force, thus bearing the backstop torque.
