Taper Roller Bearings

>Separable bearings feature a separate inner bearing assembly (comprised of rollers, cage, and inner ring) and outer ring, making installation easier.

>They are suitable for carrying radial loads, unidirectional axial loads, and combined radial and axial loads. The axial load capacity depends on the contact angle a, or the angle of the outer ring raceway. A larger contact angle a increases the axial load capacity.

>Typically, tapered roller bearings do not tolerate angular misalignment, but special roller and raceway surface designs can accommodate angular misalignment of 2 to 4 inches.
