Daily Maintenance of Explosion-proof Motor
1. Daily Inspection
Check the operating temperature, current and voltage of the motor, and prohibit operation beyond the rated value.
Monitor the operating condition to ensure no abnormal noise and severe vibration.
Check that the explosion-proof shell is intact without cracks, deformation or damage.
Tighten all connecting bolts to ensure the joint surfaces are closely fitted.
Clean surface dust and sundries to keep heat dissipation and ventilation smooth.
2. Key Maintenance of Explosion-proof Parts
Strictly protect the explosion-proof joint surfaces to avoid collision, scratch and corrosion.
Do not polish or modify the joint surfaces at will; replace accessories in time if damaged.
Ensure the cable entry device is well sealed, and the sealing ring is free from aging, damage and looseness.
Keep the inside of the terminal box clean without sundries, with firm wiring to prevent sparking caused by looseness.
All explosion-proof fasteners shall be complete, and ordinary screws shall not be used as substitutes.
3. Lubrication Maintenance
Fill the bearings with special lubricating grease regularly with appropriate oil quantity.
Shorten the lubrication cycle for motors working in high-temperature and dusty harsh environments.
Prevent excessive grease overflow from polluting internal circuits and explosion-proof surfaces.
4. Electrical Safety Maintenance
Check the insulation performance regularly to eliminate hidden dangers of electric leakage and short circuit.
Prohibit phase-loss operation and long-term overload operation.
Ensure the grounding device is firm and reliable, and the grounding resistance meets explosion-proof standards.
Check lines for aging and damage, and ensure wiring complies with the requirements of explosion-proof sites.
5. Operation and Storage Specifications
It is forbidden to disassemble or modify the motor without authorization in flammable and explosive places.
Operate start and stop smoothly to avoid impact damage caused by frequent starting.
Cut off the power supply in time after shutdown, and disconnect the main power supply completely before maintenance.
Carry out moisture-proof, dust-proof and anti-corrosion sealing for long-term idle motors, and conduct regular trial operation.
Do not replace with non-original explosion-proof accessories to avoid loss of explosion-proof performance.
6. Prohibited Items
Do not change the rated parameters and internal structure of the motor at will.
Do not apply thick paint or thick glue on explosion-proof surfaces to avoid affecting explosion-proof tightness.
Stop the machine for inspection immediately in case of overheating, abnormal noise or peculiar smell; prohibit operation with faults.
