The vast majority of power machinery must reliably solve the effective transmission of power. In actual operation, the axis between the prime mover and the gearbox, as well as between the prime mover and the working machine, often deviates due to on-site conditions. Therefore, the connection of various components in the drive shaft system has become a very critical issue。In high-power high-speed units and units with shock absorbers installed on the prime mover, the flexible connection technology of the power shaft system is particularly prominent, and it is urgently hoped that the axis has good compensation in terms of angular deflection, axial and radial displacement. At the same time, power transmission requires flexible couplings to have superior dynamic performance, ensuring that the entire transmission system has high reliability and effective energy-saving effects.

The diaphragm coupling, also known as the (MLG) steel sheet flexible coupling, is a new type of transmission device with broad application prospects that can replace gear couplings and rubber couplings. Due to manufacturing and installation errors, deformation of load-bearing capacity, thermal expansion and compression, extension, and base sinking, there may be certain axial, angular, and radial offsets between the two shaft axes connected by the transmission coupling.

Steel plate couplings utilize the elastic deformation of steel plates to compensate for axial, angular, and radial relative displacements between axes, in order to improve the working conditions.

In addition to the stress, fatigue, and stiffness characteristics of MLG couplings in terms of static characteristics, the dynamic characteristics of this type of coupling during operation are also analyzed, such as damping, vibration isolation, high-speed smoothness, and dynamic transmission efficiency (energy saving).

The structure of MLG steel sheet flexible coupling mainly consists of stainless steel metal sheet (steel sheet), half coupling, intermediate sleeve, clamping element, bolt, anti loosening nut, limit washer, etc. High strength, good torsional rigidity, strong compensation and deviation ability, low recovery force, and can withstand high temperatures of 280 ℃.
